Liar/Layer — Self production

Liar/Layer is an interpretation of Pinocchio created using seven layers of curved birch wood. This processing technique has some technical limitations but allows for bending the wood without extensively carving the material. The nose and hat, distinctive elements of the character's face, appear through folds and cuts made on the wood surfaces to avoid splinters and reduce the figurative details of the face while preserving its essence.
